Sheerstep(Sheerstar)'s Story

Here is a story that I am writing:

Sheerstep shivered as she slid out of the leader’s den. She had just witnessed Stonestar, the only leader that she had ever been deputy for, lose his last life. That meant that she, Sheerstep, would now be the leader of the only clan she knew, Rockclan. She would now have to visit the Rock of Shining Stars. She would visit there tomorrow. First, she had something to do. She leaped up onto the SkyRock to summon the clan, and tell them the horrible news.
“I’m sorry to say this, but Stonestar has just lost his last life.”
The clan gasped. “OH NO!!! At least Sheerstep is our leader now,” they said.
“I will visit the Rock of Shining Stars tomorrow. When I get back, I will announce the new deputy.” She noticed Bramblefang’s brown eyes shining. Sheerstep sighed. She knew that choosing the next deputy would be a hard choice, as she was choosing the next Rockclan leader when she…….
Sheerstep cut off her own thoughts. She didn’t want to think about it, what with her kits almost due. She hadn’t thought that Stonestar would have died so suddenly. She looked up to where her ancestors, Firestar, Sandstorm, Brambleclaw, and Squirrelflight would be. Her great-grandmother, Hollyleaf, and her great-grandfather, Breeze____ would be there too. Her mate, Darkwind, padded up to her. At that moment, four cats burst through the entrance.
“We need a medicine cat!” the obvious leader yowled. “Ember is due at any minute now!” The strange cats’ names are: Alekai, Holly, Ember, and Bramble. Ember was going into labor. The medicine cat, Creamwhisker, led Ember to a nest in her den.
